    A charming pair of 19th century English treen vessels, comprising a beautifully turned lignum vitae drinking cup and a traditional wooden salt cup. Both pieces display the simplicity, functionality and craftsmanship for which English treen has long been admired.

    The drinking cup is finely turned from dense lignum vitae, one of the hardest and most durable timbers, prized for its rich colour, smooth texture and exceptional wear resistance. It has developed a deep, lustrous patina through years of careful use, highlighting the natural beauty of the wood.

    Accompanying it is a 19th century salt cup, turned in fruitwood with pleasing proportions and a warm colour. Originally intended for use at the dining table,
